Registration preparation is underway for the 2009-2010 school year. Classroom teachers will begin recommending core courses (English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Foreign Language) for all students in early February.
Parents and students will review core course recommendations, elective course registration, and the academic plan for completion of high school diploma requirements during Advisement Conferences in February and March. Conferences will be held during the school day with the student's advisor, parents and students. Appointment times and dates will be mailed approximately two weeks prior to the scheduled conference week. Conferences are scheduled as follows:
Junior Advisement (Rising Seniors) - February 9-12
Sophomore Advisement (Rising 11th Graders) - February 23 - 27
Freshman Advisement (Rising 10th Graders) - March 9-13
Middle School Registration (Rising 9th Graders) - Registration at Middle Schools March 2-6. Contact middle school Counseling Office for further information.
Due to the increasing rigor of graduation, student reporting, student record keeping and college admissions requirements, as well as budget constraints, changes cannot be made to registrations after Schedule Kickoff in August. Schedule corrections due to failures in prerequisite classes will be the only changes made after the start of the school year.
