Last year at this time, AVID students were preparing powerpoint projects on the 16 presidential candidates. This week brought an end to the 2008 presidential campaign and students had a chance to reflect on their feelings as to the election results. Although there were varied responses, students agreed that Americans needed to bond together under the new leadership.We have also worked on a new website, www.wordle.net, which students are already using in projects. Juniors have the opportunity to take a free SAT prep class called Project 2400, offered at Sprayberry during the Spring semester on Thursdays, 3:30-5:30 or Saturdays, 9:00-12:00. There is a meeting on Thursday, Nov 13 at 6:30 in the LGI for students and parents for more information. Please take advantage of this opportunity...The seniors who took it last year said it was well worth it!
