We have started our book, The Last Lecture. Students wrote very interesting writings on what they thought the most important lessons they had learned in life have been, as well as what they would do if they knew they had only a few months to live. Surprisingly enough, many decided they would stop coming to school! Even more importantly, what they had chosen to do could very easily be achieved sometime in their future. So they need to hold onto these dreams because they can be accomplished! We also researched some "funny epithets" and everyone had a chance to write their own funny one and illustrate it on "their" tombstone...very creative and quite amusing!
