SURREAL SKULLS

Our last project is here-the Surreal skull.  We are rendering realistically, but putting them in a not real environment.  The skullls need to exhibit a full range of value. We will be reviewing for the final Thursday to accomodate the seniors taking their final early.

We are off to a great start on our acrylic flower painting's base coat.  Now we want to establish modelling of rich values just like Georgia O'Keefe.

IMPRESSIONIST LANDSCAPE

We are taking our sketches of the football field and applying oil pastels to create an impressionistic affect.Remeber no black.  Field trip Tuesday, meet on the back patio at 9:00; dress appropriately.

PATTERNED FACES

The faces are dues Thursday and a range of values must be obtained. Remember that the first 40 students with permission slips and money will be going on our High Museum field trip.

PATTERN YOUR FACE

We are creating 6 patterns that reflect 3 different values.   Next we are taking the values and high and medium contrasts on portraits.  Think back to  the portraits we did in comprehensive.

BOBBY KNIGHT

The charcoal  drawing of the knight look awesome so far; the proportions are perfect.  Remember to use an asymmetrical compositon and to render the white first.

TEMPERA BATIK

This week we will continuing our plans for the tempers batik.  It will be influenced by the Expressionism of George Roualt.  We will implement weighted lines and layers of flat unmodeled color like that of the Fauve painters.

CUBISM AND VALUE

Welcome back to art.  Our first project will involve studying significant Cubist artists.  We will then produce our own cubism by implementing values onto linear planes and 3-D objects.

Our paintings are looking great; and they are so professional!   The pears and grapes are almost done.  The complimentary color schemes are so successful.

Acrylic Paintings
