Giacometti sculptures
The final steps in our sculptures will be completed this week. The grades will go on the next report card.
HOMEWORK
The new homework assignment will be an out of the ordinary -extraordinary- still life set up at home to inlude a reflection and dramatic side lighting. Minimum size to be 16 x 20 and any medium or combination of mediums may be used.

Coil Pots
We are designing new ideas for our coil pots in our sketchbook. They must contain a relief and a handle(s). Perhaps ideas from the Minoean or Mountain folk art can be implemented.
Acrylic Painting
If you wish to purchase a prestretched canvas or stretcher frames, we will need them in 2 weeks. Meanwhile, our surreal cow skulls are progressing very well.

Glazing
We will intricately glaze our slab dwellings to enhance the textures. We are on the second round of the potter's wheel. It is your responsibility to keep up with the calendar so as to not lose points for participation. Start sketching coil pot ideas in your notebook.

Figure Drawing
We will rework 3 figure drawings due Friday to be used for our portfolios. In addition, the final extreme point of view is due Friday. It is worth 200 poionts!
Prisma Skulls
We are finishing up our Buddha Scratchboards this week. They will get graded Friday.
We are drawing three blind contour drawing of the the three cow skulls as a preliminary study for our prisma drawing.
Don't forget to get your canvas for our acrylic painting.
