AP SUMMER ASSIGNMENT

AP students for the 2009-2010 school year are required  to complete a still life of a reflection and a composition of 3 eggs.  Please work from direct observation or a photo that YOU have taken.  These should be rendered in pencil or charcoal.  ENJOY!

2 POINT PERSPECTIVE

We will begin our kmajor 2 point perspective project this week.  Consider possibilities for your subject matter.

         INSTRUCTIONS for pre-bubble sessions

 

All students must attend at least one of the pre-bubble sessions prior to the AP exam. You must arrive on time. Once the instructions begin no one else will be admitted. AP Human Geography will pre-bubble in class and therefore do not need to attend a pre-bubble session.

All sessions will be held in the LGI.

Session 1— Thursday, April 16 at 3:30

Session 2—Friday, April 17 at 7:45

Session 3—Tuesday, April 21 at 7:45

 As we construct our coil pots, let the cultures we studied influence your designs.

Monet Meets O'Keeffe

The acrylic paintings are in the planning stage.  Good compostion is the most important aspect of a great painting.  Technique will come next week.

GIACOMETTI SCULPTURES

The sculptures are looking great and the proportions are amazing!  We will be starting perspective this week.

Once you have ordered your exams print two copies of your confirmation form. Your teacher also gave you a Parent Letter/Field Trip form [AP Human Geography and AP World History exams are at Sprayberry and therefore don't need a field trip form].

Completing the Process:

If you are paying by credit card then bring in the confirmation form from the website and the Parent Letter/Field Trip form to one of your AP teachers. If you are paying by check or cash then bring these two forms to Mrs. Villemez in room 111A.

PEN AND INK ROOSTER

We are implementing all 6 pen and ink techniques in rendering the rooster. You can model(shading),use patterning , or use a combination of the two styles.
