Sprayberry Senior High Baccalaureate Service

Sprayberry High School Class of 2008 Baccalaureate Service Sunday will be help on May 18, 2008 at 3pm at Marietta First Baptist Church located at 148 Church Street, Marietta, GA 30060. The guest speaker will be Dr. Bill Ross and a Special Music Presentation will be given by the Senior Chorus, the SHS Choral and Orchestra Departments. A reception will immediately follow in the church fellowship hall.

This is not a school or PTSA sponsored event. If you would like to make a donation, there will be an opportunity at the service.

Junior parents are needed to volunteer to help set up and clean up so that the senior parents may enjoy the service with their student and family. Please contact Jean Howard at 678-576-1015 if you can help.

Attire: Please wear black shoes (no flip flops). Guys, please wear black pants. Girls, please wear a black skirt, dress or pants.

The Nader Parman II Memorial Run

The Nader Parman II Memorial Run will take place on May 4 at 8AM at Shirley Blumenthal Park. The event proceeds allow the Nadar Parman II organization to educate the teachers and coaches about Sudden Cardiac Death in children. Who: All Juniors and Seniors who have paid their class dues in full by  Feb. 15, 2008.(Freshman & Sophomores may attend if they are invited by an upperclassman,But a date ticket must be purchased by the upperclassman.

Honoring Our Heroes

This is an essay project complimenting the school district's character education initiative. Students write about real life heroes who made a difference in their lives. The deadline is February 15th and essays can be turned into the PTSA mailbox. ECCC PTA recognizes winning essayists and their heroes at a reception held in March each year.

Ignorance is No Defense – A Teenager’s Guide to Georgia Law

On February 21, Lassiter PTSA is sponsoring the program, "Ignorance is NO Defense", from 7-8pm in the auditorium. Tom Morgan, former Dekalb County District Attorney is a nationally recognized expert on the crimes against children. Through real life examples, the program will explain Georgia Laws to teenagers and parents in an easy to understand language. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
