Sprayberry College Fair

The School Counselors from Sprayberry High School will sponsor a college fair on February 26th at  Sprayberry High School from 6:30Pm to 8:30pm. Over 75 colleges will be represented.

2009 Sprayberry PTSA Scholarship Guidelines

The guidelines for the 2009 Sprayberry PTSA Scholarship program have been posted. Please go to the PTSA Scholarship Page and download the guidelines. The deadline is March 20th and winners will be announced in May.

Advanced Learning/Career Tech Showcase

Do you have questions about registration for elective courses for 2009-2010? Why are honors and Advanced Placement classes important? What career exploration/training opportunities are available at high school? For answers to these questions, come to the LGI on February 5th (Thursday) at 6:30pm.

Piedmont Church Home for the Holidays

On December 20th and 21st, Piedmont Church will celebrate their annual Home for the Holidays. The time is from 3:30PM to 6:30PM. There will be food, games, face painting, inflatables, a petting zoo, and pictures with Santa. This is a fun time for all families. New for 2008, this year on Saturday night at 7pm, there will be a free concert with Charles Billingsly and the Piedmont Choir and Orchestra. And on Sunday night at 7pm, there is movie night. All is free!

2008 Sprayberry PTSA Craft Show

The 2008 Sprayberry Craft Show will take place On November 22nd and 23rd.This show enables PTSA to provide teacher support, students scholarships and other student programs. WE NEED YOUR HELP! If you can help in any of the below, please email Jean Howard at howutk@aol.com.
Help distribute flyers to the community.
Help post signs throughout the community the Friday before and pick up the Sunday after the show.
Help set up Friday night
Help during the show on Saturday and Sunday (raffle, office, relieve crafters for short breaks, etc.)
Help clean up on Sunday night.
Help put together the crafters' packets two weeks prior to the show.

Thursday November 20, 2008-Financial Aid Night-6:30 pm in the LGI.  A representative from Student Financial Services will be here to provide valuable information regarding money for colleges and tech schools.  Come and get all of your questions answered regarding how to pay for the child's future education.

VOLUNTEER OPORTUNITIES

PTSA is already scheduling volunteers to work in the attendance and guidance offices. We would love to have volunteers in these offices the first week of school. If you would be interested in helping, please email Jean Howard at howutk@aol.com. The shifts are flexible but usually last 2-3 hours on the average. This is a great way to learn about Sprayberry and help out at the same time.

In an effort to save money and paper, the PTSA board will not be distributing calendars this year. Dates will be posted on the web site. We will also be sending emails throughout the school year. If you would like to be on our mailing list, please send us your email address to ptsashs@comcast.net.
