Español 1 - The week at a glance

Good job on the test Wednesday.  We are starting a new unit called "El coyote y el cuervo".  At the end of this unit you will have a midterm.  The midterm will cover everything we have learned since the start of the semester.  So now would be a good time to go back and start reviewing all we have learned.

¡ES VERDAD! Los echo de menos. Uds. son mi clase favorita. (No se lo digan a nadie)

Bueno, estoy muy contenta con las notas en el último examen.  Espero que Uds. también estén contentos con sus notas.  La semana que viene vamos a empezar con la próxima unidad que se llama "Sinvergüenza". Creo que va a ser divertida.  Y claro…vamos a terminar de ver “EXTRA”. Yo quiero saber ¿qué va a pasar?.   Averiguaremos pronto.

Español 1 - ¿Cómo estás? - This week at a glance

Most of you did great on the big vocabulary quiz Friday!  This week you can expect a quiz on subject pronouns and maybe another quiz.  Your second UNIT TEST is Wednesday.  This test covers the "El muchacho pastor" vocabulary list, time, weather and seasons.  Remember that the old vocabulary will also appear on this test in sentences and stories, so if you did not do well on the last test, you need to review that vocabulary also. 

We need to finish learning all the Survival vocabulary list.  So start studying the back of that sheet.

Español 5 - Lo que haremos esta semana

¡Qué fantástico! No puedo creer lo que pasó en Extra esta semana.  Si no estabas ahí ayer...no lo vas a creer. 

Bueno, la semana que viene vamos a estar muy ocupados.  El lunes tendremos una prueba de vocabulario sobre el resto del vocabulario de "Roque y el planeta sin quehaceres".  Si no estás seguro si tienes todo el vocabulario, visita mi lugar en el Internet e imprime (print) la lista de vocabulario. 

El miércoles tendrás el examen de "Roque y el planeta sin quehaceres"

Espero que tengan un fin de semana bueno y que todos estén ahí el lunes listos para trabajar.

Español 1 - What is going to happen this weeK?

You did great on  your telling time quiz!   This next week will be short.  We will continue to learn about infinitives and a little bit about changing perspective from "él" to "yo" and what changes the verb undergoes. 

We will continue to learn vocabulary for this unit.

Weather will be a new subject we will work with in the next week.  We will also start to read a small novel called "Pobre Ana".

Español 5 - ¿Qué estamos haciendo?

La semana pasada -

Hemos leído hasta la página 29 en el libro "Querido Sr. Henshaw".  Estamos llegando a conocer a Legh mucho mejor.  Es obvio que él está un poco triste con las cosas como están ahora.  No le gusta que sus padres estén divorciados y que su madre tiene que trabajar tanto. 

Estamos trabajando en nuestro libro "Lee conmigo" en el cuento "Roque y el paneta sin quehaceres".  El vocabulario está en la página de Español 5 en mi website. 

Tenemos una canción nueva.  Se llama "Dime Luna"  del grupo llamado "Maná".

La próxima semana terminaremos de leer acerca de Roque el planeta sin quehaceres.  Aprenderemos la canción y practicaremos para mejorar como escribimos.

Español 1 - Semana #5 (week 5)

Congratulations on how well you did on the first unit test!  You have learned a lot of Spanish in the last 4 weeks. 

This week we start our new unit:  El muchacho pastor.

You will know how to count from 0-1,000,000 in Spanish by Friday!

You will have a quiz on Wednesday and on Friday.  Check the class calendar that is on my website (on the Spanish 1 class page) for what the quizzes are on.

Remember that you can always have a pop quiz on what has been covered in class that day.

Do your homework and do it well!! That is an easy grade if you put a little effort into doing it right.

Esta semana empezamos una unidad nueva.  Esta unidad se trata de causas y efectos.  La unidad se llama "Roque y el planeta sin quehaceres" 

No se olviden que tienen que entregarme sus folletos el lunes antes de que empiece la clase.
