VOX Portfolio Criteria

Choose five pieces of work from this year to include in your portfolio.  It should have a professional look to it.  All work should be polished and revised.  Everything MUST be typed. Include 2 or 3 sentences (typed) explaining your choices. There are no categories, but you may only include 2 pieces of art (drawing, photography, etc.). You may include work from another class.  You will submit this digitally. No hard copies.

 

You will present your work to the class before the final.

 

 

GHEL: Canterbury Tales

At the conclusion of our reading of Canterbury Tales Prologue, we will write a resume based on one of characters in the prologue.Download Resume[1]

You will also sign up for one of the tales (not the same as your character). Read it and present it to the class.

MLA Format Guide

If you plan to make your own movie, you must have a 6 to 10 page typed script that includes instructions on lighting, camera angles, and point of view. You need to include a brief explanation of the genre of your film as well as how it fits into today's film world. Your final product should be about 10 to 15 minutes if you work alone; 25 - 30 if you work with classmates.

AP Language Replacement Assignments

Reading Comprehension: Have fun while you improve your grade!
If you have not done well on the AKM comprehension quizzes, you may create an online reading guide that demonstrates that you have read the chapters. You can use Voice Thread or Gabcast (or another program that accomplishes the same goal) to record your work. Include a summary of your chapter, a reading of essential phrases with an explanation of why these phrases demonstrate Warren's tone and purpose, and appropriate visuals if your presentation is video. You may work with a partner.  
To record your Gabcast, dial 1.888.887.3127. You will be asked for your channel number - 28300 and a Channel Password (2010). You can hear your podcast at Gabcast.
