Congradulations to all my Spanish 1 students-you all did so awesome on your tests last Friday. We are now ready to move on to our 1st unit called, translated The Shepherd Boy.We have been working very hard to incorporate the following target vocab or focus words.They are defined below.

Bienvenidaos a mi clase de español

Espero que miran a mi "blog" de vez en cuando. Es muy importante porque es una de las manereas de comunicación. Acabamos de terminar la sugunda parte del Capítulo 7, Qué Será, Será la semana pasada y tuvimos el examen el viernes el 25 de enero.

Hoy lunes, el 28 revisamos el examen en la clase y hablamos de los resultados y cómo nos podemos mejorar. Vamos a comenzar Capítulo 1 "Pobre Pedro" y el vocab sigue:

Cuento A:

se tropieza = h/s trips

se cae = h/s falls

obtiene = h/s obtains

lo más pronto posible = as quickly as possible

le falta = h/s is missing, lacks, doesn't have

se deprime = h/s is depressed, very sad

Cuento B:

se pone como loco = h/s gets crazy

espera can ansiedad = h/s waits anxiously

acompaña = h/s accompanies

día tras día = day after day

no lo permite = doesn't permit, allow

Mrs. Thomas and I would like to welcome all of you to our class. All of our students have been working very hard learning new vocab. I hope the gold survival sheet has been helpful and that it has been used.All the vocab on the survival list must be learned. The students have also been using dictionary sheets to visually aid their learning of the vocab. In addition to the survival vocab students have also learned family members. articles of clothing, greetings, numbers 1 uo to the 100's, days of the week, colors , Spanish speaking countries & their capitals and appropriate grammatical concepts as they apply.

We will give our 1st test on Thursday the 31st of January.

Progress reports will distributed in class on Friday the 1st of February.

All students have been shown ALL websites and resources available for self-practice, review and tutorial.
