Celebrate Reading

Join us as we celebrate Read Across America on Monday, March 3rd.  We have an informational meeting scheduled for Thursday, January 24, during the beginning of all lunch periods.  At that time, we'll provide details about our visits to elementary schools to read to their students and how you can participate.  Once you've completed the necessary paperwork, you can attend workshops to prepare for our trip.  Workshops will meet in the Media Center at 3:30 pm on February 5, 7, 12, 14, 21, 26, and 28th.  Students with scheduling conflicts may attend workshops during their lunch period.  For more details, stop by the Media Center.

The Reading Bowl Arrives!

The Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl is now upon us!  The competition will be on Saturday, January 26 at Osborne High School.  The Reading Bowl team members will compete by answering quiz bowl type questions about the 2007 Georgia Peach Teen Book Award nominees (http://glma-inc.org/peachaward.htm).
