We have to brag a little! The SHS library just won the 2009 state "Exemplary Library Media Program" at the high school level!
We will be honored at the August 13 state board of education meeting in downtown Atlanta.
Check out the summer reading lists posted to the right under "Online Resources." --------------------->>>>>>>>>>>
If you plan to return to Sprayberry in the fall, you are welcome to check out your summer reading books from the SHS library! That's right--no trekking to the public library; no forking out your hard-earned cash at Borders or Amazon.com. Stop by the media center before the end of the school year to check out your summer reading books!
***Did you know? According to a 2008 study by the Department of Education, a student who reads 4 books in his/her Lexile (reading) level during the summer reaps the same benefits as if s/he goes to summer school!***
This year's theme for the Cobb County Public Library summer reading program for teens is "Express Yourself @ your library!"
The Summer Reading Program for YA’s has 3 parts. Young Adults can attend programs. They can read books and write reviews to win a prize. They can earn Hawks or Thrashers tickets.
At Gritters library, there will be a Young Adult program every Thursday at 1 p.m.
