Here are the summer reading lists by course. Below you will find the lists, assignments, and a list of summaries to help you decide which books you want to read. Remember, do not wait until the last minutes to read. If you do not have English in the fall, see me about taking the test early.
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions regarding the
summer reading lists or assignments for H. American Lit. or AP
Language.I've opened up this section for comments in case you want to discuss the books with each other or get suggestions from one another.

Here is my personal tentative summer reading list of books I'm reading/rereading:
What I'm currently reading - Crime and Punishment - Fyodor Dostoevsky (thanks to Shannon and Gray) - just started it! It's really interesting, but it's gonna take a while...
What I've read so far:
A New Earth - Eckhart Tolle
Tao of Pooh - Benjamin Hoff (this was interesting reading right after A New Earth - a contrast of simplified concepts from Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Christianity)
Hole in My Life - Jack Gantos (AP Language - I really recommend this book as an easy read)
Into the Wild - John Krakauer
