1 and 2 Periods: Week of 4/14-4/18

I hope you enjoyed your Spring Break!  We have 6 weeks remaining and a lot of things to do.  We are continuing to prepare for the EOCT on 5/15 and 5/16 as well as starting our Poetry and Non-Fiction Units.  Each student will be creating a Poetry Anthology in honor of April's National Poetry Month.  Please check my blog often for updates, important links, and handouts.

Monday 4/14

  1. EOCT Prep
  2. Turn in Romeo and Juliet Mini-Projects - Projects will be accepted until Thursday.  Please remember that 15 points will be deducted each day late!
  3. New Vocab #13 - Squares due Friday, quiz on Friday
  4. Poetry Unit and Non-Fiction Pre-Tests
  5. Define Poetry Unit terms - Download poetry_terms_spring_08.doc

Wednesday 4/16 - LAB DAY

  1. Work on Poetry Anthology Project
  2. Alternative assignments will be provided for students who do not work on projects.

Thursday 4/17

  1. EOCT Prep
  2. Vocab #13 Review
  3. Continue Analysis of "Cynthia in the Snow"
  4. Poe's "The Raven" (940)
  5. Shakespeare's "The Seven Stages of Man" (945) - Complete worksheet.
  6. Rosetti's "Uphill" (926) and Myers' "Summer" (927) - Complete questions #1-6 on page 927.  This assignment may be completed for homework if not finished in class.

Friday 4/18 - LAB DAY

  1. Vocab #13 Quiz moved to Monday 4/21
  2. Turn in ALL homework assignments
  3. Work on Anthology Project
  4. Alternative assignments will be provided for students who do not work on projects.
