Oakwood Session III Registration

Oakwood is currently taking appointments for registration for Session III.  Appointments are scheduled for December 12-17 on a first-come-first-serve basis.  Session III starts on January 8 and ends on March 13. For more information, see Ms. Randall, Graduation Coach, or call Oakwood at 678-594-8240.

Semester 2 Schedule Changes

Counselors and the Scheduling staff are currently working on the master schedule and verifying accuracy of student schedules for Semester 2.  We will make every effort to ensure that each student is in the courses for which they registered in the Spring of 2007.  We cannot make elective schedule corrections at this point in the school year.  Teachers have been hired and courses created based on last year's registration requests.

Students and/or Parents may request corrections for Semester 2 schedules via this blog beginning December 4.  You will need to print out the Schedule Correction Request Form (See Mrs. Walker's blog in Admistration for a form or pick one up in Guidance) and submit it to the guidance office.  Counselors are not permitted to make schedule changes at this time.  All requests must be submitted in writing to Mrs. Walker.  We regret that there is not enough time to discuss each of the requests individually.  Please feel free to contact Mrs. Jeanne Walker via email if you have specific concerns about your request.

eHigh School Registration - January 4th & 7th!

Are you interested in online learning prior to college? Cobb's online learning program, eHigh School, offers high quality courses that equip students to thrive in the complex life and work environment of the 21st Century and has served over 5000 students since 2001.

Online registration for the Spring Term begins on Friday, January 4th, 2008, for seniors and on Monday, January 7th, 2008 for all other students.  Registration ends at noon on Thursday, January 24, 2008.  Students and parents can view course offerings and students can register online at www.cobbk12ehighschool.org.  Visit the website for more information!

NEW PASSWORD FOR FREE SAT ONLINE COURSE

Starting Monday October 22, each student who registers for the  Official SAT online Course will need a unique access code. Come by the counseling office to pick up your new code. This change does not affect students who have previously registered for the online course. This is an excellent free opportunity to prepare for the SAT paid for by the State of Georgia.

Georgia High School Graduation Test (GHSGT)

Seniors who need to retake a portion of the GHSGT have pre-registered with their couselor.  It is necessary to pass all portions of the GHSGT in order to receive a high school diploma.    

The re-test dates are as follows:

                         English: Monday, October 29th, 2007

                         Math:  Monday, October 29th, 2007

                         Science:  Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

                         Social Studies:  Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

Students should bring a #2 pencil and be in their designated testing location by 8:25 a.m.
