EARLY GRADUATION

Per Cobb County School District Administrative Rule linked here IHF

The Cobb County School District (District) shall provide secondary school curriculum, instructional, and support services that reflect the high school graduation and state assessment requirements and assist all students in developing their unique potential to a function in society.

Requirements for regular high school graduation from the District shall meet or exceed all rules and standards as set forth by the State Board of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Cobb County School Board and most colleges and universities believe that a four year program of rigorous high school studies is the best method for preparing students for post secondary studies.  The district does approve of post secondary joint enrollment, work-study and mentorship programs.  Although the block schedule does enable some students to fulfill their graduation requirements prior to the end of four years of study, the school is not required to meet any special scheduling needs to facilitate early graduation.  Students may enroll in tuition summer school and/or Cobb E High School to accommodate early graduation plans.  Any student who choses to graduate early is fully responsible for securing graduation and Senior class information by contacting Senior sponsors, graduation coordinators, and checking the Sprayberry webpage.
